Dear Judie: Dad (86) has lived with us for six years without problems. Recently, he's been getting up in the middle of night, blaring the TV (he's slightly deaf) or calling his friends on the phone at 3 a.m. They wait an hour hoping he's back asleep, then call him back to show him what it feels like when the phone rings at that hour. One night, he decided to play the piano at 2 a.m. despite the fact that he has no idea how to play. At 3 a.m. this morning, we smelled coffee and frying bacon. He said he was hungry. My wife and I haven't had a decent night's sleep in weeks.
